Vamos Bailar! Let’s Dance!
Salsa originated from Cuba Son (rhythm) and spread through the world with immigrant communities. Salsa today is a rich fusion of African and European dance and music and brings more people together anywhere in the world than any other form of social dancing. It’s fun, it’s sexy, it’s spicy ... and it’s spreading.
When Michael Moss returned to Durban in 2006 after 7 years in London, he was amazed to discover that there was nowhere to dance SALSA. Having reached an advanced level of dancing in London, he decided to launch Durban SALSA. From a small beginning in a local Scout club, to the QBa dance studios to mainstream clubs. Durban has developed into one of the SALSA hot spots of South Africa.
The popular Durban night clubs Panama Room and the Reform Club and Durban SALSA have teamed up, with ongoing lessons, parties and dance offs. More and more restaurants are turning up the music as they invite Durban SALSA to perform exhibition dances.
It’s the new upbeat way to make friends and so much more.
Add some Latin heat to your event! Durban SALSA is available for corporate functions and novel team building. It takes less than half an hour to get everybody up and dancing with the basic SALSA moves. |
