Recipient of the "Best Presenter" at the 2008 SABC News Awards, Romy Titus, has the rare distinction of having worked for all three broadcasters etv, SABC and Mnet. Romy also beams into Africa as one of SuperSport International's female Presenters, focusing mainly on Soccer (PSL).
Romy’s career has been prolific and varied. She’s a popular Journalist, Television and Radio Presenter, Voice Over Artist and Script Writer. Romy was a daily presence on Radio 2000 for six years and newscaster on Metro before that. Her work on screen and radio includes the roles of News Anchor to Entertainment reporting to Sport. She’s also one of the most respected soccer commentators in the country, no small feat for a woman!
She’s even proved her prowess as an Actress, featuring in e-tv’s police drama series Jozi Streets as herself and later in Scouts Safari – a TV film produced for the Discovery Channel
Philanthropy
When Romy is not on air, or behind a mic she runs her own Public Benefit Organization, Babies Behind Bars, looking after children aged 0-5 years who live with their incarcerated mothers in prison. Romy has won the trust of not only the mothers in the prison but also that of the Correctional Service heads and is often their first port of call, if the babies in prison need any help.
Romy is a charming and poised MC becoming rapidly popular on the corporate circuit.
