Lauren Beukes Won |
Lauren Beukes - journalist, television scriptwriter and author with international credentials, won best columnist at the Cape Town Vodacom Journalist of the Year regional finals. She’ll be competing against the other finalists at the National event in November.
Her first book, Maverick – Extraordinary Women from South Africa’s past, became an instant best seller in South Africa and was recently launched internationally. Her entertaining speaker presentation is based on the book – about goddesses, icons, heroines and villains who all left indelible marks on the pages of South African history over the past 350 years.
Lauren was head script writer of the popular kids television series URBO.
