Ventersdorp has added another comic to the mix and he’s actually funnier than the AWB’s Eugene Terreblanche.
Melt Sieberhagen, the funniest
unemployed-Afrikaans-actor-with-long-hair-who-also-writes-directs-and-produces-and-just-can't-keep-a-girlfriend since... Well, EVER, is setting the comedy scene alight with his insanely funny take on carrying Afrikaner baggage around in the new South Africa
His act is based on personal experience and he’s sticking with comedy since it’s about the only way an unemployed white, blue eyed Afrikaner Actor can earn enough money for smokes. But that’s good news for South Africa because one seldom gets to see such a uniquely different, screamingly funny take on life in South Africa before and after the time of the Groot Krokkodil.
Melt Sieberhagen spent the earlier part of his career in television production, getting an insider’s look at the intrinsic mechanics that make up the entertainment business. He also made cameo appearances in movies like Poena is Koning!, which did not garner much support as the local entry into the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. He’s also been able to stay alive with a number of character parts in series such as Gabriël, Isidingo and Home Affairs.
He started working the English circuit in and around Johannesburg and ended up winning the Jozi Comedy Showdown in 2008, where he shared the stage with international acts from Canada, Australia, England and the USA. |

A professionally made corporate video can provide a platform for companies to communicate a message, demonstrate a product in action or express techniques and ideas to staff in an interesting and dynamic way. Corporate videos can do all of this for a fraction of the cost, as the film becomes a contained medium through which a company's message or product becomes accessible to a wider audience in a shorter period of time. more info »
