Hein Wagner was born blind but that has not stopped him from breaking barriers and achieving more in life than most sighted people can just read about!

He completed the Hong Kong Marathon, the New York City Marathon and the Ironman in Korea. He has skydived from 10 000 feet, bungeed off the second highest bridge in the world, set a record as a solo cyclist and set the new World Blind Land Speed Record at 243 km/h and completed the Cape to Rio Yacht Race. He’s negotiated the Zambezi rapids, played in the winning side of the Blind Cricket World Cup and climbed all ten of the Cape’s highest peaks.

But athletics and daredevilment are not his only successes. As the “Blind Man with Vision” he helps the sighted to “see” through his motivational talks, team building and interactive workshops. He adds a new dimension to positive thinking, selling skills, diversity training and beating the odds.

His one man stage show “Bat Magic”, accompanied on guitar by blind musician an long standing friend Bertus Colyn, was a hit on the Grahamstown fringe, the KKNK and Aardklop festivals and is on offer for corporate entertainment with a difference.

Hein’s ultimate goal is  to fly a Boeing 747 from London to South Africa in celebration of 2010!

One thing’s for sure - after just one hour with Hein Wagner, you will want to be on that plane!
