After a few years on the live stage, Colin’s television career took off with the role of Stewart Buller in the popular SATV3 soap Isidingo. After two years on the soap, he moved to Cape Town where he took up the role of presenter on City Life, followed soon after as Presenter of MNet’s successful Fear Factor series. He was the SA Idols presenter series 2003 – 2007, when he resigned to concentrate on his acting career.

Colin and partner Tamarin Kaplan established Gathered Moss Productions in 2009, focusing on reality television, documentaries, format development, quirky ads and company corporate histories and videos.

The Way of the Warrior was their first television series and was nominated as a finalist for a SAFTA 2011.  Way of the Warrior, a reality show about couch potatoes transforming their lives as warriors,  screened in prime time on  MNet’s Action Channel, with Colin as Presenter of the series.

Colin started his career as a stand up comic while at University of Natal, as a member of a well known comedy improv group, Comedy Games.  He launched into stand up solo comedy in the late 90’s.

Comedy remains a lifelong passion, and he continually goes back to his roots, working the comedy circuit, locally and in the UK and Ireland. He appeared at Stand Up New York in 2010, where his observations about being a stranger in New York, subway experiences and the melting pot of cultures drawing similarities to SA, had the audience breaking into tumultuous applause and resulted in an open invitation from the club’s management to join the line up on any future visits to New York.
