Great functions are driven, not dominated,
by the MC!
You learn to read an audience and adapt your performance
to suit the crowd as a live performer, an essential
skill for a corporate MC relying on repeat bookings.
He might not be famous, but Andrew Ross gets repeat
bookings and, what’s more, has become the MC of choice
for some top companies.
As a live performer Andrew spent four years on stage,
in stage shows and musical extravaganzas like Little
Shop of Horrors, Grease and the Rocky Horror Show. Showing
true versatility he was also the off-the-wall host of
a Weekend radio Breakfast Show presenter on Smart FM.
When it was time to trade in his clapped out Volksie
and scruffy squat for a sports car and genteel accommodation,
he turned his creative skills to event management. As
the Creative Director of one of the most successful
marketing and event companies in South Africa, Andrew
has kept his performance talents fine tuned, delivering
spectacular corporate and sporting events on the global
stage as well as becoming an increasingly popular MC
Apart from the sexy voice and rather
good looks, Andrew’s strength as an MC can be partly
attributed to his strong performance art combined with
an in depth understanding of requirements from an event
management perspective.
Among his memorable corporate MC gigs were Liberty Life’s
end of year function at the Coca Cola Dome, with 5000
+ guests and spectacular outdoor events for BHP Billiton
with mixed crowds, numbering in the thousands, including
children. Equally at home controlling the crowds at
a huge beach festival, or massaging the message of a
classy intimate corporate affair, Andrew knows the drill
and delivers on demand!
Andrew engages the audience from the
outset. He’s a natural entertainer and versatility is
an added plus. He delivers on brief! From his brilliant
vocal persona of Dame Edna to Rocky Horror theme parties,
he constantly stretches his creative performance skills
to deliver outstanding and memorable events. |
