Yorkie with humour

“A Yorkie with the gift of the gab and a wicked sense of humour.” That’s how people describe Andrew Barnes, eTV’s lively news and current affairs Anchor.

Before his appointment to eTV in 2001, Andrew spent 15 years reporting from the coal face, during his years at 702 and KFM, including the coup in the Comores, Princess Diana’s  funeral and the Vaal Reefs mine disaster.

It was good news for viewers when this lively lunchtime news Anchor was confirmed as one of the Anchors of eTV’s 24 hour “eNews Channel” launched in  2008.

Whether he’s interviewing international leaders, stars and celebrities or gangsters and other dubious characters, Andrew’s easy style, sense of humour and absolute professionalism ensure a great report.

With a work ethic driven by commitment, passion and a search for meaning, Andrew Barnes is as interesting and lively off the screen as he is behind the news desk.

News is a way of tracking global trends and the rise and fall of dynasties, leaders, heroes and corporations have not been lost on this astute and interesting broadcaster over the past fifteen years. All which makes for a very different and fascinating speaker or MC.

A professionally made corporate video can provide a platform for companies to communicate a message, demonstrate a product in action or express techniques and ideas to staff in an interesting and dynamic way. Corporate videos can do all of this for a fraction of the cost, as the film becomes a contained medium through which a company's message or product becomes accessible to a wider audience in a shorter period of time. more info »
